How to share an Obsidian Vault via Google Drive

  1. Both parties must have Google for Desktop
  2. Create a folder and share it with the other person ("A")
  3. Have "A" locate the folder in the "Shared with me" tab on Google Drive in their browser
  4. Have "A" right-click on the folder and select "Organize > Add Shortcut"
  5. The folder shortcut should appear on Google for Desktop
  6. Open Obsidian and select "File > Open Vault"
  7. Select "Open Folder as Vault" from the options and select the shared vault
  8. Voila! Shared vault.
